Flying Heritage Collection

The Flying Heritage Collection is Paul G. Allen's collection of rare military aircraft, which comprises examples from Germany, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The quality of the restorations is "money is no object" and staggering. The fact that every airplane is airworthy (though certainly some are so rare they are almost never flown) is pretty mind boggling.

It reminded me of what some vintage motorcycle collections I've seen might be if money was just no concern whatsoever. To solidify this observation, airplane drip pans have to be BIG...

Kidding aside, we as Americans are so lucky that we've never had a major war in our own backyard. Take the time to thank a vet if you know one.
