Dale Walksler’s XA

Dale Walksler’s civilianized Harley Davidson XA almost looks like a Seattle Cossacks survivor. Pretty cool bike.

Yamaha TX750

I absolutely love this Yamaha TX750 built by GarageGnome. The hand built aluminum bodywork is a work of art and I was totally sucked in by the Molly the Painter style Yamaha strobe stripes.

Fat Guy in a Little Coat

I guess weird pop culture references are my thing this week. Gotta love the Gee Bee.

The Fonz

Is it wrong that even as a little kid I thought this was the episode where Richie should have died?

I never even knew this existed. Playland, a “permanent” amusement park installation opened 5/11/1947 on West Central. It was relocated to the the fairgrounds (in the area the flea market was later hosted) in 1954. This photo is from 1955.

The game room was a retired C-97 Stratofreighter fuselage.

Here are other photos I was able to track down.

Evidently the land it sat on was sold 5/5/1968.

1980 Yamaha YZ

Esthetically the 1978 was the panicle. I used to go to see every night dreaming of owning a 1979 YZ 80. BTW that’s not my mom or my motorcycle.
