Fender Mount Mark 1

Here are a couple of preliminary pix of the bottom fender mount.  The skateboard bushing has been cut a little bit to match the curvature of the fender.  I didn't take time to center the bushing too well, so don't worry about the misalignment you see in the picture.  You could also use a cupped steel washer between the bung and the bushing, like on a skateboard.  I have both a chromed washer and a black one.  It is drilled and tapped for 5/16-18 NC threads, and I have an Allen head screw run though the fender.

Please let me know what you think...  I have another question on the top mounts, but I need to create a picture to explain what I am asking.

Before & After

Tyler asked me for some before & after photos. I love it when he humors me. It was a good excuse to post some new pix too.

Microphone

It's crazy how many people have done this. I still like it.

Paisley

Pretty cool for a chick's bike. I want one of those steering dampers.

Progress

Progress is slow right now.

Over the past couple of weeks I've worked through a whole list of little details I've been meaning to get to, too boring to itemize here. I got the new Tymanium/Sparx unit finished up and mounted. Ready for wiring but both Dad and I are sick right now. Once it's wired, it should actually run again.

Still haven't gotten my motor mounts from Choppahead. I talked to someone at the shop earlier in the week and he assured me he'd get it all worked out. He said their website had imploded and that things were a real mess. I'm starting to think I'm gonna have to cancel payment through Paypal. My musician days have left me with no tolerance for flaky people.

Boardtracker

This project makes me feel relatively lazy and talentless. Pretty cool.

JJ 45 Thread

This is mostly for Rob. I not sure if you've spent any time poking around the 45 thread on the Jockey Journal but there is some pretty cool stuff on there. Trent looks about 14 in this one...

Color

I was screwing around with the GIMP (think Photoshop, only FREE rather than $700) today trying to test some paint colors. If you kinda squint when you look at it... it still looks like shit. I'll have to see if I can get Joey (an actual professional) to help me.

That said, any opinions based on these?

PODtronics

PODtronics is one of several companies that make replacement zener/rectifier components for Brit Bikes. I just heard POD (short for Prince of Darkness) is an unflattering reference to Joesph Lucas.

Zener/Rectifier

These are so cool. Damn I wish I'd have seen one before I bought my Tympanium. I was actually thinking recently I might keep the Zener heat sink on my bike just cuz it looks sorta cool.

Forks 2.0

Not to be a dick but I think it's starting to look pretty cool. The forks are quite a bit stiffer with the higher spring rate and proper oil level. I'm gonna have to cut down the kickstand before someone knocks it over.
