Carlsbad GP. I raced this track in the early 80’s. The town was crazy into motocross at the time. We all got smoked by a Suzuki factory mechanic that weighed about 275 lbs. I can’t imagine how fast that guy would have been if he was fit. I remember standing in line at grocery store in my leathers and boots and a little old lady asking my if I thought Brad Lackey would win the world championship that year. I’m pretty sure the site where the track sat is now condos.
