I always think it's interesting to compare my Tiger to an American bike of similar vintage (granted Rob's U is a good bit older but they hadn't changed all that much by say '48). We swapped bikes part way through so I got to compare the ride as well. Verdict? They are both worth having.

Lessee... simple comparison... The Harley is heavier, more solid, feels more stable, but also vibrates and rattles more. The Triumph is light, nimble, and practically begs you to find a road with some curves. Revved up, seems peppier than the 74" flathead. The T100 is a little short-coupled for a guy with long legs. Brakes on both leave something to be desired.
