Is it just me, or were those crazy Triumph marketeers stretching thing just a tad when they named the "Tiger 100"? Looks more like a Tiger 98 to me...

They were full on full of sh*t by the time the T140 came along...
Seriously, can you imagine shifting from 3rd to high gear at 85mph?
I can't say for certain I've ever seen 85 in 4th on my Bonnie.
