Thank You Santa!
My bike has been running pretty well when warm but it's alway been a bitch to start cold because I'm unable to effectively adjust the float level. I've done countless Google searches and forum posts looking for a solution with no success until this morning. Looks like the kit is about $20 USD per carb which is comparable to standard replacement floats.

MidAmerica Auction
I was just poking through some of the MidAmerica bikes.
It looks the Craig is planning to sell the Gene Romero replica. I sure would like to hear that thing before it's gone.
I thought this Knucklehead bobber built by the Wheels Through Time museum was pretty damn cool too.

Crocker
I recently discovered Jeff Decker's blog. I really like it despite the fact that he's one of those people that always seems to be having more fun than I'll ever have. Found a nice picture of his Crocker too.

Dealers Stickers 2.0
The Indian sticker is from Jeff Decker's blog. The Albuquerque sticker is from Robbie in Taos.
UPDATE - I was curious if Robbie had anything from an Albuquerque Triumph dealer, or for that matter if Albuquerque even had a Triumph dealer in the late 60's. That guy is a wealth of information.
I do not have anything for Triumph in ABQ. The dealer in the late '50s and 60's were the Bodwell family, they also sold Cushman scooters. Al Simonson was the Indian dealer in the 30s and 40s. He took on Triumph back in the 50s but then sold it on to take on Honda. Bobby J bought the Indian franchise when they imported Brit stuff before he took on Yamaha. Tommy Jacobs was another Indian dealer for a while in the late 40s and 50s. Joe Turney sold BSA and Jawa/CZ, Rissman motors sold Norton and Moto Guzzi.

Chop Shop (4-wheeled post)
Was surfing for 1933 Plymouth Pics the other night, and stumbled across this picture. You may not agree with this person's aesthetics, but when you actually think of the details of this body mod, it's pretty amazing...
The door is made from the front half of the front door merged with the back half of the back door. Looks like he got the roof line pretty close too.

Rubone
I met a guy on the JJ that has been collecting Triumph stuff since the 60's. He currently lives in Taos but once worked at Alcon Harley Davidson in Albuquerque. Albuquerque Dealer. Anyone old enough to remember Alcon?
He mentioned that if I found myself in Taos some time he'd show me around his private shop. He said that he's been collecting stuff so long that it's sort of set up like a museum. I think this might be a picture of it. Wow.
UPDATE - I was guessing this was Robbie's shop. I got curious enough to ask him. He sent me a couple more pictures...

Haynes
Anyone know where I can find a copy of this manual? I picked up an old R2 unit at a swap meet a while back but it keeps looping this stupid video. I may have to format it. The girl in the video is sorta hit-able though...
I normally prefer to get a factory manual but when I asked about it at a local shop the asshole behind the counter just laughed at me.
