Norton

With the disc brakes etc. this one looks built to be ridden.

Circle Game

This racer prank is the funniest I've seen in a long time. Justin Hill, a very successful Supercross racer from the local area and perhaps the happiest guy on the circuit. For any of you that don't have a 13 year old son this might help explain what it means.

Traditional Hot Rods - Greaseball

There are a TON of street rods and muscle cars in Seattle but I've never quite figured out where all the traditional rods are hiding. There were some very cool ones down at the Greaseball this year.

One of my favorite's was this model A Sport Coupe.
My grandfather had a 1932 "Model B" Sport Coupe. That's my Dad on the runningboard.

Tom's Stable

My buddy Lurker Tom sent me some photos of his current projects, he's got such great taste.
I especially like this Triumph powered Sonic-Weld frame. Sonic-Weld was a peer of Redline, Seely, Rickman and Trackmaster specializing in flat track frames. Tom has been coveting a Sonic-Weld frame since they were new. Here are are some close-ups of one. As you might guess I love the pipes/megaphones as well. That bike looks ready to go kick some ass.

T110 Paint

Wow. It's really in paint. It's been 6 years but my T110 might actually be in the home stretch. I can't wait.

1947 Velocette

As I've mentioned numerous times before my Dad's first motorcycle was a 1947 Velocette, either a KSS or a MAC. My Dad is in town this week and tagged along with Rob and I to the Greaseball. Our friend Jeff Earle brought his father's 1947 Velocette. Dick Earle's Velocette was also his first motorcycle, he has owned it since he was 19. Needless to say we had to get my Dad on Dick's Velecette and Jeff was generous enough to accommodate. Even at 84 my Dad still looks pretty comfortable on it.

If you become aware of a reasonably priced 1947 Velocette 350 (complete or project) Rob and I would love to know about it.

Scallops

So, I finally dropped my paint off with the painter. Maybe my semi-recent obsession with scallops will eventually come to an end.

Tri-5

My 13 year old son was just making the observation that immaculate Tri-5 Chevy street rods have become so common they are now almost the Camry of hot rods. That said when a ‘55 done right they can still be pretty damn irresistible.

Pocket Cobra

OK, maybe not powered by a CB400 engine. A Haybusa engine would do the trick...
