1928 Indy Winning Miller

I recall getting this Scholastics book in the 2nd grade. I fell hard for this 1928 Indy winning Miller. I absolutely studied this page, ultimately deciding it must be the most beautiful race car ever built. All these years later I’m pretty confident I was right

Jimmy Phillips

These photos of legendary racer Jimmy Phillips were recently shared by his daughter Andrea.

This photo shows a pre war frame with a post war GP style engine. Notice the square alloy cylinder developed for use in RAF generators used on British WWII bombers.

This photo shows Jimmy as an amateur notice he’s running number 98 rather than 8.

This bike and photo appears to be pre war.

Oregon T100R

Posted by Bill Brown: “ Not sure if I've posted this before or not but it's a pretty cool picture of a very unmolested T100R. Picture is captioned Madras (Oregon) 3/4 mile timed runs. It's dated '52 but we know thats wrong as this model was not available until '55.”

One of my all time favorite motorcycles and semi local.
