T100 Dyno

Ever notice the Internets can piss away lots of time if you aren't disciplined? Supposedly each T100 sold came with a Heenan &Froude BHP test certificate. Here's an example.

Here are the results of Flathead Rob's HD 45CI run. I bet Triumph was more willing to horse whip their T100's than Rob is willing to shamelessly kick his faithful old dog. Something tells me the dyno calibration isn't a one-to-one match either.

In 08' my rookie year with the Cossacks we were in Milwaukee for Harley's 105th and Mike Tom put his 42' 45cubic inch flathead on a dyno. I don’t remember the horsepower it put out, but the 42' had a hell of a time trying to move the dyno's roller to get it going. It sound like his clutch was falling apart with nuts and bolts going every where in side the primary. Mike got the 42' off the dyno and had to put his cultch back together five minutes before we had to put on a show. The guys at the dealer couldn’t believe that he put the 42' up on the dyno.

John, that Triumph curve fit would never pass muster with Boeing Flight Test. Needs a seond order linear regression... Take it by Dad's house; he will hook you up...

Funny.

I talked to a local shop about putting Olivia on their dyno when I was still fighting proper carb setup. They weren't into it... On the surface they were concerned with the "it's an old bike, who knows what'll happen" but truth be told I doubt if any of the guys in there had ever worked on a carbureted bike or timed one without an on-board computer.
