Norton Hoard

I never cease to be amazed by the motorcycle contacts I make through work and everyday life. It was a casual conversation with a co-worker that lead to the '48 Indian Chief that eventually followed Flathead Rob home.

Today a co-worker asked about a photo of one of my bikes. When I confirmed it was a Triumph he mentioned he was more of a Norton man. I always assume late 60's Commando when I hear that but he quickly corrected it was pre-Commando. Here's the list:

1935 Norton Model 20
1951 Norton International (Featherbed Works Modified)
1962 Norton Model 20 650 SS
1962 Norton 500cc Manx

1935 Norton Model 20
1951 Norton International - Obviously not a factory works Featherbed version
1962 Norton Model 20 650 SS
1962 Norton 500cc Manx

My freind's Dad originally built the collection and he grew up with them all. All the bikes are still being stored in his hometown in Canada. I now want to see them in a majorly bad way. None of the bikes pictured above are actually his but they give you an idea.
