Ironically Flathead Rob (the Engineer) demonstrates Cossack drills by explaining the "trivial" principles involved in your standard automotive differential... I had trouble grasping it when he and I attempted a few drills together because my truck has a locker.

The team featured here, the Victor McLagens, are still in existence, riding newer (pan/shovel) era bikes. The Cossacks have performed in shows before or after them in recent history, but before I joined the team. They use ropes and other paraphernalia, while the Cossacks pride ourselves on using only our bodies.
It would be fun to personally meet them some day...
