1968 BSA 250 Starfire - $2800

Classic old British bike. I have owned this bike for nearly 30 years. It has been stored and now it is time to part with it. The bike is completely original down to the original British Dunlop tires.
There is less the 3000 miles on it and it runs just fine and has just had a new battery installed. You will not find another one around in this good of a condition if you can find one at all.

I've recently become a huge fan of Bring a Trailer. It just strikes me as such as simple and novel idea. As someone who feels a little compiled to rescue every odd project it really appeals to me. I've decided to post the occasional motorcycle equivalent. Since the ads that usually call my name seem to almost always claim "Ran when parked" I've decided to refer to them that way. If you see anything interesting that fits the bill pass it along.

So, first one....

1957 Triumph TRW Bobber Project - $2500

1957 Triumph TRW flat head bobber project. Original Engine, Primary and transmission. Engine makes good compression, trans shifts thorugh all gears. Original Hardtail frame from TRW and original hard to find TRW leather springer seat. Also has 70's triumph front end and front wheel with vented front drum, and late 60' Triumph rear wheel with drum brakes.
This bike had been an older bobber conversion that had been stripped down and sold as a basket case. Has rear fender with tail light and fuel tank with inlaid speedo.

Too many projects, not enough time!

Open to offers. Do not have registration but I do have bilss of sales from last couple of owners dating back about 15 years from original estate sale.

Rocker Caps

My new bike is missing two aftermarket finned rocker caps. Anyone have a couple laying around they'd care to part with?



I'm looking for a pre-unit front axle & nut as well.

Chief Bobber

Indian Mike's '51 Chief bobber made the cover of Walnecks Classic Cycle Trader this month. Pretty cool. Nice shot of the famous Rio Grande Bay there in Santa Fe, New Mexico too. They must have had quite the runoff from the ski area this year.

Crocker 2.0

Another one of the three Crockers being offered at Bonhams' Quail. I was pretty interested in Paul d'Orleans speculation about the multi-Crocker blowout sale:

"No less than 3 Big Tank Crockers, with estimates as low as $275k, which makes me wonder if the 'Crocker Boys' will snag them to prop up the values of their own machines. Happens all the time in the art world. Strategically, putting 3 Crockers on the market at once might be 'flooding' the market, but then again, plenty of people would love a Crocker... "

Or simply stay broke. Then you don't have to sweat such details. If anyone is planning to surprise me with a gift I'm totally fine with either. You are welcome to choose.

From Bike EXIF. Wow. This might be the prettiest Crocker I've ever seen. That color looks amazing on this bike. It could be yours if you just traded in your house.

Title Update

Yeehaw! I finally have one in my hot little hand. I am in no hurry to try that again but at least it's done.

El Paso Museum Motorcycle Madness Exhibit

I noticed in a JJ post that my buddy Robbie's Buddy Elmore gear is featured in the El Paso Museum Motorcycle Madness Exhibit. Robbie mentioned that he ended up helping them out with additional motorcycle memorabilia and exhibit setup. How insane must it be to have such a deep collection of stuff that you are loaning a museum a part of your shop? That said, the coolest part of Robbie's collection is the array of stuff packed in his head...
