Ride365 Revisited

My family and I became overnight Team Ride365 fanatics last year at the Glendale Supercross. We met some of the Oregon based Ride365 guys on the rental car shuttle and when they offered us a tour through the team truck that's all it took. We were instant fans.

Fast forward one year and there was a ton of change. A few days before Anaheim II 2017 it was announced that Ride365 and the Stewart family were combining forces to become Ride365.com Stewart Racing. The team truck got redressed. Loads of background hustle was involved getting bikes prepped, race motors ready and everything else involved. We still got to chat with the guys at Glendale but there was a palpable increase in chaos in their pit. They have a ton on the line now.

I did get to meet Malcolm and James Sr. but I was honestly more excited about meeting Brett Cue and Chase Marquier. The core Ride365 team seem like great guys. I hope their partnership with Stewart Racing really helps them grow the team and business. It's a really big move for them. I wish them the best.

Daisy Maico

Who knew Daisy Duke was a Maico fan. It looks like there might be a little dent in the tank too so you know she really rides it.

You can't see it in the photo but there was a little dent in the General Lee too.

 

I guess we know what happened to the General Lee but if you ever wondered what happened to Maico the whole juicy story can be heard here. I have a Maico story too. I was run over by a Maico 490 once. I had a Metzler tire print bruised across my back. I think the guy actually gassed it when he hit me! In any case I still fared better than the General Lee though.

Rob At Barber

My brother Rob went to the Barber Museum recently without me. No lie, I was pretty jealous. Thankful he took some pictures. If you took one bike a day out of the collection and rode it, it would take almost 4 years to ride them all. I still want to go.

Broc Glover

I was pretty stoked to meet Broc Glover recently. When I bought my first motorcycle, a used Yamaha GT80 at about 10 years old, it was a great time to be a Team Yamaha fan. Bob Hannah, Broc Glover, Kenny Roberts. The 11 year old kid in me that idolized those guys was kinda freaking out. Broc seems like an incredibly personable and humble guy. He was really cool. He looks at least as fit as he was when he was racing too. I think he's almost 60. You'd sure never guess. #LivingLegend
