Thunderbird & Jaguar

I love this photo for a couple of reasons. First, when I initially began the restoration of my '51 I wasn't much a fan of the nacelles. The more I saw them, and the bike itself from every angle, the more they grew on me. I genuinely believe the early 50's Triumphs were the XK120's of the motorcycle world from an esthetics perspective. It's fun to see them side-by-side. Truth be told I preferred the larger headlight (pictured here) over the smaller nacelle pictured here. That too changed with time.

Screw the Pacific Northwest rainy winter. I'm convinced given the trenchcoat, gauntleted gloves and knee high boots I could just ride year round.
