He wasn't yanking your chain. This is what £35 bought you at a Triumph dealer in 1951. I think the kit was exclusively for the T100 (500cc). Pretty cool. Sweet bike.

I saw an immaculate Austin Healey 100-4 M at "Coffee At Dawn" this morning. Lowest serial # of the 200 surviving cars. I gotta start taking a camera up there.
