Velocette's at Bonneville

I spotted these photo's on a certain auction site. The seller states they were photos taken by CYCLE magazine in the early 50's. He has quite a bit of info other bikes/cars in the other photos but there isn't much about the Velocette photos. Anyone know anything about either the rider or bike?
