If the bottom end can stand up to it, I guess there is a certain logic here... The largest impediments to a flathead are poor breathing and necessity for a large combustion chamber, both restricting the maximum achievable compression ratio. By turbocharging or supercharging, you remove the impediments by enabling higher effective compression. A little too much bling for my tastes, but to each his (or her) own.
