All the pictures from Bonneville are popping up now. I really have to make it there some day.



The only "local" I know of out there right now is Jeff Brock and his Bonneville Bomber Buick.



Craig Murray mentioned riding a Triumph Trident powered LSR bike for Big D Cycles in Dallas a while back. Not sure what the status of that is. Craig seems to be laying pretty low these days.

C@D Report

Slowish day at C@D. My favorite '48 Norton International was there (I've posted pics before). You should hear that thing... Knucklehead Steve was back with the Wauseon report, sounds like a good time. Naturally I had to thoroughly examine his bar setup.

Saw a pretty unique Bridgestone GTR 350 two stroke. I overheard someone saying they sold them through Montgomery Wards stores in the late 60's.



Met a guy named Allen P. with a pretty unmolested 1970 Triumph Bonneville. Best part is he bought it new in 1970! I doubt if he's washed it since 1970... Recently put knobbies on it because he likes to ride the East Mountain fire roads. Seemed like a cool enough guy, just looking to ride the damn thing. Great story. I'll see if I can get him out for a group ride sometime. "Barn find" guys were crapping their pants a little.

Boozefighter's 1941 U

Noticed this one on eBay. I love the Crocker style paint scheme. Not a huge fan of the bobbed front fender, it would probably grow on me if I lived in Seattle. This bike is cool as hell but I honestly think I'd rather have a restored late 30's U/UL than one that's bobbed. IMO they are some of the absolutely prettiest stock MC's ever built.

I'm constantly badgering my kid's for opinions on this bike or that. Generally they humor me with some sort of semi-engaged response (OK, well Vaughn usually has a real opinion and is ready to fight over it). Sydney finally chimes in with her own unsolicited opinion and... HOLY COW SHE HAS TASTE! She is so rad.
