My dad had a Ford Econline pickup we affectionately called the “Dorko.” I was never a fan. I know they are “cool” now but I’m not buying it. It did get my dirt bike to a place I could ride it, I loved it for that. That said this, is the closest one ever got to being cool.

Below - my brother Rob’s first motorcycle a 1971 Kawasaki 125, the first motorcycle in our family my 1974 Yamaha GTMXA 80 (which I still own), the “Dorko” and my Grandparents. Such a great photo!

Seattle Cossacks Rest Stop

Unidentified Seattle Cossacks make a quick stop at the Summit House, Snoqualmie Pass Washington. Rob & I made the same stop with our two bikes on the trailer  on July 4 while returning from a show in Cle Elm. 

New Mexico Motorcycle Patrol

On March 14th, 1933 the Legislature created the New Mexico Motorcycle Patrol. They were formally inaugurated on August 5, 1933 with a chief and nine patrolmen. The program only lasted two years due to a high rate of patrol accidents.
