Yard Work

I know yard work/gardening is supposed to be all Zen or whatever but I just hate doing it. There's always something I'd rather be doing and the second it's done you have to just start over again from the beginning.

I finally got my side yard done though...

Matt Olsen's BF Build

As mentioned previously here Matt Olsen is one of the invitation builders for Born Free 4. I saw some pictures of his progress so far. I haven't seen a custom bike build I was this envious of in a long time.



I suspect my "taste" having gone somewhat out of fashion may be partly to blame. So fuck it, I'm not a cool kid.

Let me just start by saying this is ABSOLUTELY NOT an episode of TLC's "My Strange Addition" where I announce I've been having a physical love affair with my motorcycle... Olivia treats me right though, particularly thorough the routine occasional rough patches in life. What motorcyclist hasn't argued a motorcycle is cheaper than therapy? (Vincent owners, Brough owners, Crocker owners... I digress). Do I love my bike? Hell yes I guess.



Sydney (my absolute favorite daughter) found this song and proclaimed it had to have been written for me. The video content is so damn fitting too. Thanks kid!

America's Got Talent 2.0

Spoiler Alert - for those that didn't catch it the Cossacks got "Gonged." Maybe someone that was there can chime in but the performance space must have been very limiting. Based on what was aired I think the boys must have really been holding back. I'm still really proud of you all the same.



I am admittedly a little relived you didn't make further for one selfish reason. That show is absolutely PAINFUL to watch. Ouch.



The good news is I noticed all my pre-high school nieces had swapped their photos of Justin Bieber and Twlight's Taylor Lautner on Facebook this morning to pictures of Nate.

Big news I guess is Coffee at Dawn is apparently under new ownership... No details.

Not many vintage bikes, Kiki's Ducati was about the coolest.

PJ Johnson invited us down to his shop to look around. PJ has been generous enough to take care of my '48 Norton International for a several years now. Oddly he doesn't quite seem to understand he's supposed to give it to me. Due time.



Pj was cruel enough to show me his '48 Norton Manx. It outshines the International but I'm still fine with settling for the International.

My trip to PJ's was unfortunately somewhat rushed, pending Mother's Day plans. I didn't get pictures of loads of cool stuff. I hope to visit again sometime soon.
