Birthday WR

I’m pretty confident this WR is going to follow me home for my birthday. More and more I find myself dreaming about trying a little flat track on a WR clone. I wonder what the odds are with one ticket...

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not

Henry “Bunky” Oswin was Seattle Cossacks member #10. Below is photo of the paint scheme and uniform style of that era.

Pictured are Jimi and Cole Wright. Both Jimi’s father and uncle were on the team a generation ago. Cole (now in his 20’) and his brother George are both on the team now.

P39

P39, the weirdest American fighter of WWII. Flanked by a WLA. Maybe it’s mine.

SPAD Prop

My brother Rob’s most recent project is in the middle photo. Now we just need to find all the rest of the pieces of his SPAD. It’s absolutely stunning and restored with impeccable detail.

We’re thinking if we carry them into the show one part at a time his wife won’t notice he’s building a SPAD... Unfortunately she’s really smart.

Truth be told my brother’s wife is amazing. I’m super thankful she loves him, understands him and tolerates most of the crap he/we put her through.

Triumph V8

I stumbled across this on Jalopy Journal today:

Seems the engine is based on a V8-60 bottom end and the top ends are mid-40's Triumph 3T, 350 cc twin cylinder blocks and heads. Gear driven timing arrangement and I'm assuming two cams per (4) cylinder banks for exhaust and intake.

So... Is this actually a V8-60 block modified for new cam journals to except the quad-cam design? I'm assuming piston rods increased in length for the additional "deck height". Was the deck machined down as well?? Were all water cooling provisions removed as well?

These pics are from the net. The engine is on display in Speedy Bill's museum.

We’re Back

I took some heat today from of all places, my 15 year old son for not posting. I wasn’t too sure anyone still read this. I’ll make an effort to post more regularly again.

One Moto Show 2019

That is by far the best photo I’ve seen from the 2019 One Moto Show that my bike happened to be in. Just pure love it!
