Triumph T98?

Found this in an old book I have:
Is it just me, or were those crazy Triumph marketeers stretching thing just a tad when they named the "Tiger 100"? Looks more like a Tiger 98 to me...

    I can't say for certain I've ever seen 85 in 4th on my Bonnie.
