Liv failed the Seattle test this morning. Made it up there but she stalled out in a downpour near Tijeras on the way home (about 20 feet from an overpass, it nice to ride a bike with some life experience). Lesson learned, rain and velocity stacks are not a good mix. No damage done but I need to throw the stock air cleaners back on the next time it looks stormy. Thanks to my understanding spouse for the rescue.
Back in the day, people did that intentionally to clean out carbon. The inside of your cylinders should be clean as a whistle now...
