The parts look pretty good. The tubes have a little surface rust but it's above the lowers travel. I was able to take it off almost entirely with emery cloth. This is a really common problem because the Brits didn't have hard chroming down. I'm gonna put gaiters back on it anyway.
The seal holders are TIGHT. There's a factory tool for loosening them http://www.britcycle.com/Products/222/222_616017.jpg
I'm gonna take to the local Triumph grouch to have em broken down.
The top picture is distressing until one reads the fine print... Looks like you collided with something very hard!
